About ProAct Sales

ProAct Sales was established on September 1st, 1991. Our mission is to provide aselect group of manufacturers an intensely focused level of effort directed to the Consumer Electronics Retailer and Custom Installer in the Metro New York market. Our success and growth has been based upon fielding the finest sales and administrative talent available. Each salesperson is empowered to make on the spot decisions, affording us a “buck stops here” capability, while significantly enhancing customer confidence.

Our investment and reinvestment in systems, personnel and physical plant are unparalleled in our market. We maintain a state-of-the-art contact management database, fax and e-mail broadcast capability, in house publishing expertise, and sophisticated lead generation and follow-up software. We are proficient in both Mac and PC applications, and as a result, our vendor to field communications are the most timely and efficient in our marketplace.

We have built-out and installed the most sophisticated demonstration and training facilities in our market. We maintain interactive demonstration showrooms in our facility, allowing us to demonstrate many of the more expensive and technically competent products we represent. We presently demonstrate high definition LED displays, lighting control systems, touch panels and media servers, video distribution networks, in-wall and freestanding home theater speaker systems, distributed audio systems, indoor/outdoor speakers, specialty audio and video systems, in addition to traditional audio video components.

We maintain a sophisticated classroom training room where we host regularly scheduled product and installation trainings in concert with our vendors. These events are held many times a year, and are customized to serve the needs of our vendors and customers. Application specific trainings are also conducted; tailored to our dealer's specific needs, on an as requested basis.

We are committed to discovering emerging application oriented products, and to effectively train our customers in their use and installation. We also have design and specification competence, wherein we are able to assist our growing installers to reach the “next level” in their proposals and installations. This expertise has helped to create a reliance on us on the part of our dealers, and has become a significant factor in our growth.

ProAct Sales is also a member and accredited teacher of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). We offer AIA courses to the design community enabling local architects to get the mandatory continuing education units (CEUs) required to maintain their AIA affiliation. Our design community outreach programs help drive business to our dealers and, subsequently, to our vendors. We participate in local AIA Expos to show hundreds of AIA members in the New York Metro area our vendors’ design solutions, expertise in proposal writing, and commitment to their efforts. Furthermore, we are the only rep agency in the Metro NY area that has such a deep affiliation with the design community.
